But, if you are traveling to a new country to explore a new culture, why not choose something unusual? Start the kids thinking outside the box and show them something really unique.

Unusual Hotels with Kids – Sleep in a cave
Sleeping in a cave was a very HIGH priority for us on our trip to Turkey. We chose a fantastic hotel in the Cappadocia area and it was the coolest kid friendly hotel ever! We had a great experience. One amazing feature of a cave hotel is the ability to keep the room cool even in very hot temperatures. We visited Turkey over the July 4th holiday and it was HOT. The room was blissfully cool.

Unusual Hotels with Kids – Sleep in a monastery or a convent
One of the best reasons to try a monastery or a convent is the location. These spots are usually very old and are located right in the middle of the historic area you are interested in visiting.
