Hidden in the Hill Country outside of Austin is the largest restaurant in the Western Hemisphere. This amazing restaurant and complex is a destination for anyone who visits Austin. The view is fantastic day or night!
The Oasis Austin – Menu and Information for your visit to the 4th largest restaurant in the world!
They say everything is bigger in Texas and that might just be true. Here is yet another example of that saying because this restaurant is BIG! Â Just how many people eat at the largest restaurant in the Western Hemisphere? This place seats 3000 AND on the weekends there are often that many waiting for a table. That is a LOT of people!
Is everything actually BIGGER in Texas? Yes, that is TRUE!

The Oasis Austin – Menu and Other Things like… Do they take reservations at the Oasis?
No, they do not take reservations and if you want to visit during the peak time – which is sunset on the weekends be prepared for a long wait. The wait doesn’t have to be painful though! The complex is full of art, music and you can carry your drink around with you. Admire the view while you wait!
The best time to see the view without a wait is lunch. We got there right as it opened for lunch and had ZERO wait. It was quiet and we had a section of the restaurant all to ourselves.
The Oasis Austin – Menu and Other Things like… The Food
I was anxious to try the food because I heard it really isn’t very good. I had the shrimp lettuce wraps and they were really good. Did I get lucky? Maybe but even if you don’t get lucky then eat chips and salsa! The basket of chips and salsa will fill you up though and it is FREE.
