Renaissance Hotel Times Square

Renaissance Hotel Times Square: Peace and quiet
In spite of being right on Times Square, which has to be one of the busiest and most lit places on the planet, the rooms here are dark and quiet.
We were on the 16th floor and not bothered by the street noise at all. Room darkening shades had us sleeping peacefully even though round the clock it was brightly lit right outside.
Love this pretty and colorful tile in the bathroom. It seemed to shimmer in the light.
Renaissance Hotel Times Square: Cool vibe
This hotel has a hip and cool vibe. The art is interesting and the view from the bar of Times Square is really amazing! Be sure to get a photo here at night. You get a much, much better photo here than one actually standing in Times Square because you are above the throngs of people!
I love, love, love this bookshelf! Can I have one in my house, please?? It is really functional, too. I pulled out a book and realized it is made of shelves so the entire thing did not fall down on my head. LOL! Even though you can actually pull out the books on this shelf, I’m sure it is just for decoration. Who comes to NYC, gets a room in Times Square and then reads a book in the lobby?
Renaissance Hotel Times Square: Sense of humor
I don’t know who did the math on this sign but I think I could be friends with that person. What a hoot!
Renaissance Hotel Times Square: Interesting features
This hotel has all the amenities you would expect from a nice hotel in NYC’s Times Square.
Large, clean rooms? Check
Helpful staff? Check
Ironing board and iron? Check
Laundry? Check
Bar? Check
Here on the 3rd floor of the hotel is the hip and happening R Lounge.
The interesting parts are unexpected.
The bathroom mirror has a large circle that is heated. So, when the mirror is steamed up from the shower that spot does not fog up.
See this switch? I thought it was a light dimmer. I kept pushing it up and down but couldn’t figure out which light it was dimming. It turns out this is a volume switch for the TV in the sleeping area. You can control it from the bathroom? While I was in the bathroom ‘dimming the lights’ hubby was in the sleeping area wondering if the TV remote was haunted because the volume was going crazy!
Renaissance Hotel Times Square: Overall
This hotel great bang for the buck! Comfortable, hip and perfectly located. I recommend it highly!!
