These are wonderful ideas… Although I often travel solo mainly because to cut down expenses haha.. i cannot deny the fact that traveling with family is more enjoying and memorable. In such case, i used to plan everything ahead.. list down the itineraries and possible expenses to be consumed. I also grab the promo packages from airfare and hotels so we can get discounts.
Garage sale is an interesting suggestion.. i might consider that soon

I am blessed to have a work that I can do anywhere as long as I have a notebook and pen, a phone or an internet connection. There were times when I earned even while on vacation or an outing with my family.

I agree with you that saving on food expenses by limiting eating out with the family can help save a lot of money. Setting aside money to become a travel fund is also helpful and effective. My family and I travel at elast once a quarter to have a vacation.

These are helpful suggestions. Earning money while traveling is a good idea when it’s possible. Definitely cook I think because food and restos are so expensive. Probably just save for those really special places.

Wow! Wouldn’t earning an income from travel be amazing! For me personally, my partner and I reduce our food expenses and we have a vacation savings account! Looking forward to reading more of your posts!

  6. Traveling is really costly when you’re starting out. Food alone makes it really hard! Good thing that DIY trips and itineraries help a lot. Cheap flights also ease the cost. The only thing that’s lacking is your discipline to save 🙂
